Gyanbook Learning App (gyanbookapp.in) provides online computer courses such as 2D animation, video editing, WordPress website development, and more. Our courses include pre-recorded videos, digital content, downloadable files, and practice materials, which are designed to offer comprehensive learning experiences.
Since these courses consist of digital content, they are non-refundable. We follow this policy due to the nature of digital products and to ensure the integrity of our offerings, while remaining in compliance with Indian law.
Why Gyanbook Learning App Courses Are Non-Refundable:
Nature of Digital Products:
- Gyanbook Learning App offers digital courses that consist of pre-recorded videos, downloadable files, and practice materials. Once these materials are accessed or downloaded, they become permanent assets for the customer, making it impractical to offer refunds.
Risk of Misuse:
- If a customer requests a refund after accessing the course, there is a risk that they could store and share the materials, which can lead to unauthorized distribution. Digital files, once downloaded, can easily be copied, stored, and misused, which is why refunds cannot be offered.
Non-returnable Access:
- Unlike physical products, digital content cannot be “returned” after consumption. Once the customer has viewed or downloaded the course, it cannot be retrieved. For this reason, Gyanbook Learning App adheres to a strict no-refund policy for digital content.
Softwares and Tools Disclaimer:
- Gyanbook Learning App does not provide any softwares and tools as part of the course. The courses are designed purely for educational purposes.
- We recommend that customers download the trial version of any required software for their learning.
- We do not host any illegal or unauthorized versions of software. All responsibility for acquiring software lies with the customer.
Demo Video and Pre-Purchase Decision:
- At Gyanbook Learning App, we provide a free demo video to help customers make informed decisions before purchasing any course.
- We do not offer any trial or testing versions of our full courses. Our free demo content is designed to showcase the quality and structure of the course, allowing customers to evaluate whether the course will be useful to them.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to decide if the course suits their needs before making a purchase, based on the demo content. Once the purchase is made, refunds will not be provided, as the course has already been delivered in full digital format.
Legal Basis for Non-Refundable Digital Courses:
Under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, Indian law recognizes that digital goods, such as downloadable files and pre-recorded videos, cannot be returned once accessed. Therefore, digital content can be classified as non-returnable if clearly communicated to the customer before purchase.
As per Section 2(10) of the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the consumer has the right to a refund only in cases where the goods or services are defective or not as promised. However, this does not apply to digital products that are fully accessed and used after purchase, especially when the non-refundable nature is clearly stated, as is the case with Gyanbook Learning App courses.
Disclosure of Non-Refundable Policy:
To comply with Indian consumer protection laws and maintain transparency, Gyanbook Learning App clearly informs customers of our non-refundable policy at multiple points during the purchase process, including on the website and in the course purchase agreement.
